What the Health

While attending Syracuse University, one bit of advice heard often is, “to experiment.” Go out and do things that you can’t do back at the fleet, shop, or command.

One day, after passing a poster asking for individuals to serve as photographers for a student magazine, I figured this would be a great opportunity to branch out. While initially signing on to be “just” a photo editor, I found myself the primary shooter for a 60-page publication. I had not a lick of editorial experience. Learning to photograph oils, or yogurt was certainly branching out. This is a brief collection of images made for the Fall 2015 issue of What the Health magazine.

The digital version of the magazine can be foundĀ here.
