Jacob Guy Darnell Sisco was born in Yuba City, California to parents Rick and Sherry Sisco. In Live Oak, Sisco attended and received his diploma from Live Oak High School in 2003.
    In July 2011 Sisco decided to join the United States Navy. He graduated from the Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois on Feb. 3, 2012. After graduation he attended the Defense Information School (DINFOS) at Fort George G. Meade in Maryland. At DINFOS, Sisco studied to become a Mass Communication Specialist (MC) for the Navy.
    In six months Sisco graduated from DINFOS and was assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). On Aug. 22, 2014, Sisco deployed with the Vinson on a 10-month deployment to the Persian Gulf, Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea areas for missions in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
    After three years aboard the Vinson, Sisco was selected to attend Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication to study in their military motion media program. Sisco is currently enrolled at Syracuse University where he is scheduled to graduate in May 2016.
    Some of Sisco’s achievements include a Navy & Marine Achievement medal, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and both enlisted surface and enlisted aviation warfare pins.
