Bio

Darren Scott is a writer/director and a broadcast journalist for the United States Air Force. His documentary “A Tell-Tale Heart: One Airman’s Story of Survival” won first place documentary in the entire Department of Defense for the Visual Information Production Awards in 2015. He received an undergraduate degree in Media Arts from the University of Arizona in 2009 and will soon complete his graduate degree in Television, Radio and Film from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.

When he’s not behind the camera, Darren is with his wife and two children (four if you count the dogs), who are often the inspiration behind his work and the drive behind his passion for telling stories.

Darren is currently working to produce a short film he wrote about a young couple struggling to come to grips with a miscarriage who must attend their best friend’s baby shower.
