These pictures are various shots I’ve taken throughout my time here at Syracuse University. I feel that these images represent some of my best work thus far. I had fun and learned a lot making these images.
People show up at the The New York State Fair to have a great time, eat delicious food and enjoy the amusement rides. For local Syracuse American Indian representatives, it is an opportunity to display portions of there heritage and help people understand their way of life.
Alisa Tanner is more than just a pretty face. She is the backbone behind her family and the strength that propels her family members forward in their darkest hours. This portrait shows how she stands firm and tall, always looking forward toward the light at the end of the tunnel, even when her family members, at times, can't see it.
U.S. Army veteran, Sgt. Lisa Soy, uses music as a daily motivation to get through life's obstacles. It helps her to navigate her way through her day while providing a real-time soundtrack to her life. She never goes anywhere without her headphones — what she considers to be her tool to dealing with the outside world.
There is a point in everyone’s life where people want to find some sort of peace. Whether it’s running from past transgressions, inner demons or trying to find a way to right previous wrongs. This push to better one’s self is what drives Christopher Gaiser, an amatuer skateboarder who is ranked among the top 5200 skaters in the world, to better himself each day. By using his hard work ethic alongside his religious beliefs and teachings, he constantly strives to be better at everything he does. From his job as a store manager at a local sandwich shop to his teaching of the gospel to local youth using his skateboarding, Christopher is on a constant search to become a better man, boss and mentor to those around him.

A rock band is not complete without a singer who can sing, while performing well and staying in tune with the rest of the band. At the New York State Fair, the band Bad Fish, performed in front of the crowd in attendance as they played songs as a tribute to the band Sublime.
People from all around Syracuse and the local area come to the New York State Fair, to have a great time and ride the rides. After spending a day eating the delicious food, visiting the petting zoo and riding the rides, these kids begged their parents to finish off their night of fun with one last ride down the fair's massive slide.
College soccer is very competitive at it's best. Syracuse Men's Soccer Team is rated as one of the top teams in the nation and to remain that way, they had to defeat Lousiville University. As the goalkeeper for Syracuse, Hendrik Hilpert, fails to stop the game winning goal giving the edge to Louisville as they went on to win the game, 2-1.
Homecoming week is a big deal for students, faculty members and alumni, especially at the University level. The week is filled with music, celebrations, traditions and sporting events. One of those events is the school's football game. On Saturday, Oct. 7th, Syracuse University's Marching Band lead a parade through their school's campus, down to the Carrier Dome where the Orange played host to the University of Pittsburgh Panthers.
