Newhouse MVJ 2019

The Homecoming

When summer becomes fall in Pulaski, New York, the chinook and coho salmon of Lake Ontario return to their birthplace to spawn new life and, eventually, die. During their gauntlet run, the salmon attempt to dodge the lures from the traditional return of the fishermen. Although catching one of these massive fish is a rush, harvesting the fish is not the only reason why these fishermen come here each year. They come from all over the nation to the Salmon River to have the experience of a lifetime.
