Adrian Cadiz, originally from Baldwin Park, CA., enlisted in the United States Air Force on November 23, 1992. He started his Air Force career as a high altitude aerial reconnaissance film processor. It wasn’t until 1999, when a career field merger with still photography forced a camera into Cadiz’s hands.
In 2005, Cadiz was assigned to the 1st Combat Camera Squadron where he gained a true appreciation for the art of photography as he was mentored by many of the best photographers in the Department of Defense.
In 2008, Cadiz applied and was accepted into the military photojournalism program at Syracuse University. Upon graduation Cadiz will be reassigned to the 1st Combat Camera Squadron in Charleston, SC.
Cadiz’s past assignments include three tours of duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and has been stationed at Lowry AFB, CO, Beale AFB, CA, Osan AB, Republic of Korea, Hickam AFB, HI, Elmendorf AFB, AK, and Charleston AFB, SC
Outside the military, Cadiz enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Johana and their two sons Jordan and Noah.
