Bio
I grew up in San Diego, California, and fell in love with cinema when I was really young. It helped that movies were a passion of my parents as well. When I was eight they got me my first camera and I made my first short film, it was terrible, but the spark for filmmaking stuck with me and never stopped.
In 2009, after taking several film courses at a local community college I moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in filmmaking. The industry is very hard to break into. After four years in L.A. I realized I wanted to have hands on a camera in any way, rather than just work in Hollywood.
I swore into the U.S. Army in 2013 as a Combat Documentation Production Specialist, which means I do Film and Photography for the Army as an active duty soldier. The Military has afforded me many opportunities as a filmmaker and a photographer, and in my free time I continue to work on side projects to practice film as often as I can.
In 2016 I was accepted into the Military Motion Media program at Syracuse University, wrote and directed my first short film (Moving On) and will be stationed at the Defense Media Activity when I graduate the year long program.
Film is my life, and I am thankful for each day I have a camera in my hands. I plan on doing this work, writing, directing, creating productions in any capacity for the rest of my life. If I am able to do that, I will consider myself really lucky.
