Creating a sense of freedom
School closed early for inclement weather on January 23, 1987, forcing 7-year-old Dennis Pullen to walk home from school. Nearly home, he was struck by a car that threw him 102 feet across the snow-covered road. After six months in the hospital, he was released, but life as he knew it had changed forever.
