Deandre Curtiss

Bio

I have been a Photojournailst in the U.S. Air Force for 11 years. My foundations are faith, family and service. These foundations have driven me to be a better human, husband, father and visual storyteller. I married the love of my in 2008 and we are blessed to have two children. I am versed in both still and motion imagery. I am currently assigned to the Pentagon working out of the Secretary of the Air Force Public Affairs Office.

Prior to completing the Syracuse University Military Photojournalism program I served with the 3rd Combat Camera Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. During my time in the Air Force, my imagery has been published and displayed in Air Force Magazine, ABC and the Discovery Channel.

I was born in Landover, MD and graduated from Charles Herbert Flowers High School. After graduation I entered the Air Force in July 2007 and graduated from the Defense Information School as a still photographer in November 2007. During my 11 year career I have won several photography and personnel awards. I am currently pursuing my Masters Degree from the Newhouse School of Public Communications, Syracuse University.
