A classic car model builder from Baldwinsville, New York, Dennis Goodnough, collects memorabilia from the 1950s including the vinyl-covered ’53 Mercury Monterey that he bought in 2009. “It was so pristine in condition; I knew I had to have it.” Goodnough, 70, said the only time the Mercury goes outside is when he drives it to the Saturday morning car shows in Liverpool, where he hangs out with his fellow classic car buddies.
