Bio
I’m a Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Petty Officer. I was born and raised in South East Florida. I graduated from Martin County High School in June 2010 and went to Florida State University. In 2013, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs
In July 2015, I entered the U.S. Navy. After graduating from the Defense Information School in Fort Meade, Md., my first command was the Naval Public Affairs Support Element East.
I’ve deployed aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Cole (DDG 67) from December 2016 to July 2017. During this time, I created a 90-page cruise book, released 1,500 photos, taught a photography course that enhanced morale on the ship.
Afterwards, I waived my dwell period and volunteered for Continuing Promise 2018. As the social media manager, I created an Instagram account and gained 410 followers within three months with an audience reach of 98,000. Additionally, I scheduled 412 posts which doubled the Facebook page likes from 5,000 to more than 10,000 with an audience reach of 1.2 million.
During this deployment I was selected for the Advanced Military Visual Information program at Syracuse University. My work is displayed worldwide, and my personal awards include the Enlisted Naval Surface Warfare Specialist Insignia, and two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals.
As for personal life, I have a wonderful wife and beautiful Schnoodle. I enjoy going to music festivals and spending time with family. Everyday is an opportunity to improve, and I hope to do just that.
