Shannon Smith
Bio
Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Shannon M. Smith is a native of Hickman, Nebraska, and graduated from Norris High School in Firth, Nebraska, in 2006. She attended the University of Nebraska- Lincoln and graduated with a bachelor’s in News-Editorial Journalism in 2010. She enlisted in the U.S. Navy in March 2012, and is currently completing her master’s in Multimedia, Photography and Design at Syracuse University where she is serving as the service and class leader for 22 military service members. She married her best friend Kris Knowlton in 2012, who she credits with her stability and success due to his love and support.
