Samuel Brooks
Bio
SPC Samuel Brooks from Maryland attended two years of college at Salisbury University and one year at Carroll Community College before he enlisted into the Army in December 2014, graduated basic military training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri in April 2015, attended the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center as a Modern Standard Arabic student before changing his military occupational specialty, and then graduated Advanced Individual Training from the Defense Information School in June 2016 before being stationed at 55th Signal Company, Ft. Meade, Maryland.
While stationed at 55th Signal Company from 2016-2019, SPC Brooks went on numerous assignments that grew his passion for visual storytelling. He also completed Airborne School during this time.
In 2019, SPC Brooks was assigned to the Pentagon’s Army Television Remote Team and spent the year learning about broadcasting live events. He then attended Syracuse University’s MPJ program from 2020-2021.
When he is not visually telling stories, SPC Brooks enjoys voice acting and building audio soundscapes. He also regularly plays Dungeons & Dragons, which he feels has helped tremendously in his storytelling endeavors.
