Daniel Hinton

Bio

Petty Officer 1st Class Hinton was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and graduated from Bonanza high school. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 2007, and has eight years of active duty service. He is a military photojournalist and is currently a student in the Military Photojournalism Program at the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.

During his eleven years of active duty service, he has served in Sasebo, Japan; Naval Special Warfare Group ONE in Coronado, California; and recently at the Pentagon as the personal photojournalist to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Petty Officer Hinton’s proudest military moment was in 2010 when he deployed with SEAL Team SEVEN, to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, being able to witness and document the everyday incredible heart, grit, and bravery of the men and women of the Squadron.
